Plateau Valley School District Installs New Sewer Lift Station with Grant Funds
COLLBRAN, CO – The Plateau Valley School District installed a new sewer lift station funded from a grant it received from the Mesa County Federal Mineral Lease District (MCFMLD) in the spring 2017 grant cycle.

The school district partnered with the Town of Collbran for the grant. The replacement of the lift station was critical to ensure no catastrophic failures within the old system, and no disruptions would be incurred to the students and staff during the school year.

The life span of the new lift station is expected to be approximately 25 years. The total project cost was $50,865.90, with the grant award covering $50,000.

This is just one of the many community projects that the MCFMLD has funded since 2011. The MCFMLD is currently taking grant applications for the Fall 2018 grant cycle. For more information, please visit our website at www.mesafml.org.
